The Wrigley Company has added an exciting new product to the EXTRA range. EXTRA Drops is a new sugar free dental lozenge that offers patients a healthy alternative to sugar containing confectionery with an added oral care benefit.

These new dental lozenges are clinically proven to stimulate saliva¹ which helps to neutralise harmful plaque acid in the mouth²

It is well established that salivary stimulation can help reverse the early stages of tooth decay. After eating and drinking carbohydrate-containing foods, bacteria cause the pH level in the mouth to drop and the tooth’s enamel starts to dissolve leading to dental decay. Stimulated saliva contains a higher concentration of bicarbonate that neutralises and buffers the plaque acid and reverses the fall in pH.
